How do I purchase a TKGA online course?
Members and non-members may purchase any online educational courses located in the online store. At the top of the TKGA website, click on the STORE tab. There you will find the CORRESPONDENCE COURSES and the MINI COURSES listed. For a brief description of the courses, click on CORRESPONDENCE COURSES. If you want to purchase a course, proceed to CHECKOUT.

I joined TKGA but have not received my Cast On magazine.
Cast On magazine is a quarterly magazine, published 4 times a year. Depending on when you join determines which magazine will be your first issue; it can take couple of months before receiving your first issue.

Cast On is now digital and may be viewed on the website by clicking on the CAST ON MAGAZINE tab at the top of your screen. Click on DIGITAL DOWNLOAD which will entitle you to view the entire magazine online. Same amazing magazine, just viewed differently. You may have chosen the Digital Membership ($25.00) vs the Individual Membership ($35.00). The Digital Membership is just that, you receive the magazine online only; there will not be a hard copy of the magazine mailed to you. There will not be any refunds granted after you have made your purchase.

I need a previous pattern from a past issue of Cast On magazine but cannot find the pattern online anywhere. Where is it and how much would it cost to purchase the pattern?
We currently do not sell individual patterns from previous issues of Cast On magazine. If you know the issue of Cast On the pattern is in, you may purchase the magazine from our online store. Click on the STORE tab at the very top of the screen. There you’ll find the magazines by year. Follow all prompts to check out. The cost is $15.00, which includes shipping and handling. If the magazine is not listed in our store, the magazine is not available for purchase.

I am the President of a local TKGA Guild, a member of TKGA and would like to secure nonprofit status under The Knitting Guild Association. How can I obtain nonprofit status under TKGA?
In order to secure nonprofit status for your local TKGA Guild, you will need to establish the Guild as a nonprofit organization with a tax ID number on your own.

To access some valuable information about the process of obtaining non-profit status, go to the GUILDS tab at the top of your screen. Select START A LOCAL GUILD from the drop down menu. Under the COMPLETE PLANS TO HELP YOU RUN YOUR GUILD, click on 10 GUILD MEETING IDEAS.

I would like to donate knitting materials and/or past issues of Cast On magazines to TKGA.
We are unable to accept your generous donation.  We suggest you check with a local charity in our community or one of our local guilds. To find a local guild, select the GUILDS at the top of the screen. From the drop down box, select FIND A LOCAL GUILD. All of our local Guilds are listed by state in alphabetical order. One of these Guilds might be interested in your donation.

I would like to attend the TKGA Conference. Is membership required to attend?
No, the conference is open for both Members and non-members.

If I have not completed the Master’s Program, do I need to purchase the program again?
No, but your TKGA membership must be current in order to receive the revisions/current instructions to the program.

Where can I find the revised instructions for the Master’s Program?
To access the revised/current instructions, sign in with your username & password. Click on the EDUCTION tab at the top of the screen. Select HAND KNITTING from the drop down box. Then from the other drop down box select the MASTER HAND KNITTING PROGRAM. From the MASTER HAND KNITTING STUDENT SECTION click on where it says CLICK HERE, which is under GROUP. There will be several bulleted items; click on the NEWEST VERSION OF THE MASTERS INSTRUCTIONS. This will enable you to print and/or view the revisions.
