Wrapped in Love - contact Jillian Padilla at (908) 516-5687 or JPadilla@njsharingnetwork.org.
NJ Sharing Network is a non-profit, federally designated
organ procurement organization responsible for the recovery of organs and
tissue for the nearly 5,000 New Jersey residents currently awaiting
transplantation, and is part of the national recovery system, which is in place
for the more than 122,000 people on waiting lists. Our Foundation raises
funds in order to support donor families, conduct research and educate about
organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
An integral part of NJ Sharing Network’s mission is to
provide care during and after a donor family's experience. Our
organization is looking for ambassadors to knit or crochet beautiful shawls
for families of organ and tissue donors. Through the Wrapped in Love
program, donor families are honored with handmade shawls that are tangible
expressions of comfort and compassion. In joining this program,
volunteers are supporting and honoring families whose loved one generously gave
the gift of life.
