The Knitting Guild Association is proud to provide a commemorative opportunity for friends and family to honor fellow knitters or memorialize a knitter or knitting related person. Anyone who knits or is a part of the knitting community or industry can contribute to the fund which benefits knitters by awarding scholarships for TKGA education.
The first gifts to the fund were made in 2007 by knitting designer
Marlyn W. Ibele in remembrance of TKGA friends Virginia Dillon and
Marjorie Hughes. Many names have been added since to the TKGA Memorial
Fund Honor Roll and Remembrance Page by friends, family, local guild
members and others (see below).
Gifts specified for "The Knitting Guild Association Memorial Fund” must be made payable to the "TKGA Memorial Fund". Donors should specify that their gifts are for "The Knitting Guild Association Memorial Fund” and should identify the name of the knitter to be honored or memorialized.
If you would like to donate, please print a TKGA Memorial Fund Donor Form to send with your check.
If the person you are honoring is still living, tell them they have been added to the TKGA Honor Roll using the TKGA Honor Roll Notice Form.
Help TKGA provide education to knitters.
The TKGA Memorial Scholarship Fund is one way you can honor a knitting friend or remember a beloved knitter AND provide for others who also love the art and fun of the craft.
Help knitters by providing a Correspondence Course, Masters Program level, or pay for a knitting class at Conference.
Knitters may apply for or be recommended to receive awards from the TKGA Memorial Fund using the Scholarship Application Form. Please review TKGA Memorial Fund Guidelines for more information about Fund Awards. Scholarships are only awarded to TKGA members.
Recorded here are the names of persons memorialized by donations to the TKGA Memorial Fund.
