MEMORIAL FUND FOR KNITTERS (including a knitting honor roll for recognizing living knitters) provides knitting scholarships
The Knitting Guild Association Partners with Helping Hands Foundation, Inc. to Provide Memorial and Honor Roll Opportunities, plus Scholarships for Knitters
| The Knitting Guild Association and the Helping Hands Foundation, Inc. (HHF) are working together to provide a commemorative opportunity for friends and family to honor fellow knitters or memorialize a knitter or knitting related person. Anyone who knits or is a part of the knitting community or industry can contribute to the fund which benefits knitters by awarding scholarships for TKGA education.
Gifts specified for "The Knitting Guild Association Memorial Fund” must be made payable to "Helping Hands Foundation, Inc." and sent to HHF at 1100-H Brandywine Blvd., Zanesville, OH 43701-7303. HHF will serve as a repository for the fund. Donors should specify that their gifts are for "The Knitting Guild Association Memorial Fund” and should identify the name of the knitter to be honored or memorialized. All gifts are tax deductible under the 501(c)3 non-profit Helping Hands Foundation, the umbrella organization for Needle Arts Mentoring Programssm across the country. Donors can learn more about the two partnering organizations online by visiting www.TKGA.com and www.NeedleArtsMentoring.org.
If you would like to donate, please print a TKGA Memorial Fund Donor Form to send with your check.
The first gifts to the fund were made in 2007 by knitting designer Marlyn W. Ibele in remembrance of TKGA friends Virginia Dillon and Marjorie Hughes. Many names have been added since to the TKGA Memorial Fund Honor Roll and Remembrance Page by friends, family, local guild members and others (see below).
Donors can print and mail a form to send to the person or family of person to be memorialized Print the TKGA Memorial Fund Note Form and complete to send a note about your gift to the person or family of the person you are memorializing.
