Machine Knitting - Starting Out on the PASSAP Duomatic
Your PASSAP knitting machine is assembled and ready for action. But what do you do now? How do you make it work? This course will provide basic information necessary to become comfortable with your machine and understand what it can do. E-6000 knitters will work without the console, to become fully acquainted with their machine. Differences between the various Duomatics and E-6000 will be noted and anyone with the E-8000 should have no difficulty making the transition from instructions for the E-6000.
There will be questions to answer and swatches to construct and submit. You will learn:
names and functions of the parts of the machine
You will knit swatches and complete three projects: a lap robe/baby blanket
from patterned blocks to give you experience in knitting fancy stitches and
noting how stitch changes affect gauge, a Treasure Trove bag to give you
experience with patterned tubular knitting, and a sweater. The course can be
helpful for those interested in the PASSAP TKGA Machine Knitting Masters
Program but is not a pre-requisite to that Program.
